SYDNEY – Australia scientists discovered the error regarding the inclusion of an island in the South Pacific in Australia maritime map. The small island called Sandy in the Google Maps service that apparently never existed.
The island that was written on a Google map, located in the middle of Australia and New Caledonia which ruled France turned out to be completely empty.
An Australia media reported, scientists from the University of Sydney who visited the area said they only found the waters of the Coral Sea, and did not find an island named Sandy.
